Steve didn't set out to own a dispensary. He was brought in to help save one.
A local shop was on the edge of closing, and Steve came on to work the marketing and the business strategy. When the owners decided to step away, he had a choice — let it close, or take it on himself. In 2024 he took it over and rebuilt it as The Clover Club TX.
Legal hemp was still new ground in San Antonio. Not long ago, the idea that anyone in Texas could walk into a shop and get legal access to what they were looking for would have sounded impossible. That access was the whole point — meeting people where they are, legally, without judgment.
Then Texas changed the law, and most of the product line went with it. Steve had two options again: close, or adapt. So he changed the room.
